How to Deposit Money Into Your Account: Step-by-Step Guide

WaFd Bank offers multiple options to deposit money into your accounts, any way you like to do your banking. Whether you like to deposit cash or checks in person at your local branch or WaFd ATM, through mobile deposit, electronically via ACH or mobile deposit, read on to find out more about the ins and outs of making deposits to your accounts.

Mobile Deposit

Mobile check deposit lets you deposit checks into your WaFd Bank account using the camera on your mobile device. Here's how it works:
  1. Endorse the check (sign the back of the check on the printed line) and write "for mobile deposit only" underneath your signature.
  2. Open the WaFd Mobile app.
  3. Click on “Deposits” at the bottom of the app.
  4. Choose an account.
  5. Enter your check amount.
  6. Take photos of the front and back.
  7. Review and submit.

Direct Deposit

Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to automatically deposit funds into your WaFd Bank account.
