Account Authorization and Use

If you have an account or plan to open an account with WaFd Bank, you agree to provide WaFd Bank with current, complete, and accurate information about you as prompted by the applicable registration process and agree to regularly update this information to maintain its completeness and accuracy. You agree to use this Site to access only those accounts on which you are authorized to act, and to use your own sign in credentials, usernames, and passwords when accessing accounts on which you are authorized to act. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur in connection with your password. Accordingly, you should take steps to protect the confidentiality of any account information, sign in credentials, usernames, and passwords that you use to access any page or feature on this Site, and for logging off your account and any protected areas of the Site.

If you become aware of any suspicious or unauthorized conduct concerning your accounts, sign in credentials, usernames, passwords, or security questions and answers, you agree to contact WaFd Bank immediately. WaFd Bank will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these Terms.

You authorize your wireless carrier to use or disclose information about your account and your wireless device, if available, to WaFd Bank or its service providers for the duration of your business relationship, solely to help them identify you or your wireless device and to prevent fraud.

Information About You and Your Visits to the Site

Visitors Residing Outside the United States

WaFd Bank SMS Text Notification Terms & Conditions

WaFd Bank's SMS program known as WaFd Notify, is a service designed to provide our customers with timely information and account updates through SMS notifications. This SMS service is subject to these Terms. By opting into or participating in the SMS notification services; you accept and agree to these Terms. Any term identified in these Terms is limited to this service, and these Terms are not intended to modify any other agreement(s) or terms of service that governs the relationship between you and WaFd Bank.

WaFd Notify - Real-time account updates and secure account verification

The WaFd Notify program, as defined below, is a secure notification service that delivers important account information directly to your mobile device. When you opt into our SMS Alerts Program, you agree to receive autodialed or prerecorded SMS text messages for various types of messages related to your banking activities and account status. These notifications may include 1) account updates and activities and 2) account security alerts. WaFd Notify allows you to access available information regarding your accounts that are accessible through the WaFd Online Banking and Mobile App ("Eligible Accounts") via recurring short message service ("SMS") text messages from your mobile phone and/or set up alerts for your Eligible Accounts (e.g., alerts for low balances, payments, or charges). The WaFd Notify program will continue to send alerts and messages until you opt-out and you may opt-out at any time by sending a text message or by going online within the WaFd Banking app.

Eligibility and Participation

Enrollment requires confirmation of your Eligible Account and banking relationship with us. By providing your mobile phone number and configuring notifications within the online banking application, you are affirmatively opting into the Programs. Enrollment must be completed through the online banking app. You have full control to determine when and how you receive notifications by selecting the types of Alerts and managing your preferences within Online Banking. At any time, you can reply STOP to stop receiving alert messages or reply START to resubscribe and resume receiving notifications. Alternatively, you can visit the WaFd Online Banking application at any time to turn off notifications. Simply navigate to the Notification section within the app to manage your alert preferences.

User Mobile Phone Number

By participating in the Programs, you represent that you are the owner of the mobile phone number or that you have the delegated legal authority to act on behalf of the owner of such mobile phone number. You further agree to immediately notify us if any mobile phone number you have enrolled is (i) surrendered by you, or (ii) changed by you. If at any time you intend to stop using the mobile phone number used to subscribe to the Programs, including canceling your service plan or selling or transferring the phone number to another party, you agree that you will complete the User Opt-Out process set forth below prior to ending your use of the mobile phone number.

Message Frequency

When you enroll in WaFd Notify, you agree to receive text messages based on the notification preferences you have configured. Most alerts will trigger an SMS notification once per event (e.g., a completed transaction, account update, or suspicious activity). For recurring alerts, such as low balance notifications, we will send no more than one alert per day per notification type. For example, if your account balance drops below your configured threshold (such as $1,000), you will receive a single notification each day that the condition remains true, but no more frequently. You can adjust your preferences or disable alerts at any time through the WaFd Online Banking application at www.wafdbank.com.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. If you have any questions regarding your text message plan or data plan, you should contact your carrier/service provider.

User Opt-Out

If you no longer wish to participate in either of the Programs or no longer agree to these Terms, you can opt-out of the Programs at any time. To do so, you may reply "STOP" to any SMS text message from WaFd Bank. You may receive one additional text message to confirm your "STOP" request and then you will not receive any future SMS text messages. Alternatively, you can visit the WaFd Online Banking application at any time to turn off notifications. Simply navigate to the Notification section within the app to manage your alert preferences. You further understand and agree that any other method of opting out, including, but not limited to, texting words other than those set forth above or verbally requesting one of our employees to remove you from our list, is not a reasonable means of opting out. If you would like to opt back into the Programs following your opt-out request, you can reply START to resubscribe and resume receiving notifications or return to WaFd Bank's online and mobile banking application to turn notifications back on.

Liability

SMS notifications are provided for your convenience. While we strive to deliver timely and accurate information, we cannot guarantee immediate delivery of messages due to factors beyond our control, including carrier delays, network issues, or system maintenance. WaFd Bank and carriers will not be liable for losses or damages arising from non-delivery, delayed delivery, or inaccurate content in the SMS messages sent through the SMS Program.

Marketing SMS Text Terms and Conditions

WaFd Bank's Marketing SMS program (“WaFd Bank Marketing Program”) is a service designed to provide our customers with relevant product related marketing communications through SMS notifications. By subscribing or otherwise agreeing, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing SMS text messages from or on behalf of WaFd Bank. Any term identified in these Terms is limited to this service, and these Terms are not intended to modify any other agreement(s) or terms of service that governs the relationship between you and WaFd Bank. By using this service, you agree to these Terms and our privacy policies located on our Privacy Center, https://www.wafdbank.com/privacy-center.

WaFd Bank may notify you with an SMS text message when you have an account or product-related message. The SMS text message will be sent to the mobile number provided by you. Messaging frequency may vary. We do not charge for text messages, however, message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

You are not required to subscribe to receive marketing communications to maintain your relationship with us. If you no longer wish to participate in the WaFd Bank Marketing Program or no longer agree to these Terms, you can opt-out of the WaFd Bank Marketing Program at any time. To do so, you may reply “STOP” to any SMS text message from WaFd Bank. You may receive one additional SMS text message to confirm your “STOP” request to be removed from the WaFd Bank Marketing Program. Reply “HELP” to any SMS text message from WaFd Bank for assistance.
